Why a generator beats a downloaded PDF
Most "Chinese writing practice sheets PDF" results are static files: fifty characters chosen by a stranger, in an order that matches nobody's curriculum. Heritage homework doesn't work like that — the words that matter are the ones in this week's 词语 list, this month's library book, this term's HSK level. With a generator, the sheet always matches the learner. And if you do want a graded list, the built-in HSK and YCT word banks load with one click.
What prints on the sheet
Each word gets a pinyin label and an English meaning, then per character: a dark model cell, light-gray tracing cells, blank practice cells, and a progressive stroke-order strip showing the character being built one stroke at a time. Grids come in four styles — 田 tian, 米 mi, 井 jing, or a plain box — at 10, 13 or 16 mm. Toggle 繁體 and the same sheet prints in traditional characters with zhuyin labels.
Printing tips for a clean PDF
The on-screen preview is exactly what prints. In the browser's print dialog choose "Save as PDF", switch off headers and footers, and leave margins at Default — the generator sets the page size (A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape) itself. Grids and the pale tracing ink use print-forced backgrounds, so they come out on paper exactly as on screen. For blank grid paper for free writing, set the trace ratio to "All blank" — more on that on the grid paper page.

Can I get a PDF file?
Yes — print to PDF from the browser. The generator sets the correct page size (A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape), so the saved PDF is print-ready.
Can I print blank writing practice paper?
Yes. Set the trace-to-blank ratio to 'All blank' and every grid prints empty, with the word list kept as row headers for reference.
How many words fit on one sheet?
Up to 30 practice characters per sheet on the free tier. For a child's daily session, 6–10 characters (about 15 minutes of writing) works better than a full page.
