Two worksheet formats, one word list
The tracing sheet is the default: every word prints with a pinyin label, an English meaning, gray characters to trace, blank grids to attempt, and a step-by-step stroke-order strip for every character. Flip the template and the same list becomes a dictation quiz — pinyin and meaning as prompts, empty grids for the answers, and an optional answer key at the bottom. Families typically trace a list midweek and quiz it at the weekend.
Word banks when you don't have a list
If you don't have a textbook list to paste, the built-in banks cover the standard paths: HSK 2.0 levels 1–6, HSK 3.0 levels 1–9, YCT 1–4 for younger learners, and eight topic packs (greetings, numbers, family, colors, animals, food, body, school). The full tables with pinyin and English are browsable in the word list library, and any of them loads into the generator with one click.
Simplified and Traditional, properly
"Mandarin" doesn't settle the script question — Singapore and mainland families write simplified, Taiwan and many older overseas communities write traditional. The 简体 / 繁體 toggle switches the whole sheet: characters, handwriting font, stroke-order data and pronunciation labels (pinyin or zhuyin).
